Vietnam War Revealed
When veteran and author Bob Miller finished his latest book, Kill Me If You Can, You
SOB, he found to his surprise that his greatest fans were turning out to be
soldiers of the 3rd Battalion (Airborne), 506th Infantry (Currahees) that his unit, the 192nd AHC, supported.
Dave L. Beaty wrote about Kill Me If You Can, You SOB on
Amazon.com:
“This pilot supported the Currahees with the best he had to give and has put the same into this book. Agree with him or not, he tells it like it was and I'd be proud to ride with him anytime anywhere. I was there, too and he didn't skimp a bit on Blackhawk. My only disappointment was when it ended so fast.”
The book is drawn from a diary Miller kept while he flew for the 506th starting in May 1968. It’s a book that pulls no punches, in true Miller-esque style. Miller is no stranger to controversial topics. In his 2006 offering,
The Business of Assassination Miller’s style drew the following comment from New York Times reviewer Ellen Tanner March:
“While this book is a fascinating and quick read, it is light on supportive details, focusing instead on the author's political opinions, which can only be described as inflammatory--although they admittedly ring with the truth of hard-won experience.”
The same acerbic style punctuates Kill Me If You Can, You SOB, and readers who expect nothing less won’t be disappointed. You can learn more by visiting his website at http://kill-me-if-you-can.com/.
